"Anton is Show Business", a comedy by award winning play write Jane Martin,
will be playing at the McAllen Creative Incubator. Directed by Amanda Sasser,
the play features several talented local actresses.
With stars in their eyes, three very different girls head to San Antonio to star in Anton Chekhov's classic play, "The Three Sisters." With crazy directors, problem actors, overly enthisiastic producers, and funding from a less then reputable source, "The Three Sisters" is doomed from the start. This comedy could best be described as "funny, funny, funny, funny, tragic."
The look of the play is that of Thornton Wilders "Our Town", the plot follows Anton Chekhov's "The Three Sisters" and we hope the end result will be as meaningful as Lorraine Hansberry's "A Raisin in the Sun."
Dates for the show are August 8th, 9th and 16th at
7pm with 2 matinees on August 10th and 17th at 4pm at the McAllen
Creative Incubator. Ticket prices are $5.00 and are available at the
