The McAllen Chamber of Commerce is set to host the 88th Legislative Session Wrap-Up Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on August 31, 2023, at Embassy Suites by Hilton McAllen.
This event marks the culmination of the 88th Texas Legislative Session and provides a unique opportunity for Chamber membership, community, and stakeholders to gain insights directly from our local elected officials. Scheduled to speak at the event are Senator Juan “Chuy” Hinojosa, Representative Bobby Guerra and Representative Sergio Muñoz, Jr. The elected officials will share valuable information on the proceedings of the legislative session and elaborate on the initiatives they are actively pursuing for the betterment of our region.
The event is organized by the Chamber’s Government Affairs Council and is sponsored by the City of McAllen, Boggus Ford McAllen, South Texas Health System, Ruby Red Hospitality, and IBC Bank.
“The 88th Legislative Wrap-Up Luncheon serves as a bridge between our local elected officials and our community. This event is designed to foster an open dialogue to provide a better understanding of the legislative developments that impact our community,” Director of Public Policy & Government Affairs Gerry Garcia said.
