On Thursday, May 16, Dr. Belinda Jordan will make a presentation to the attendees of the Chamber’s All About Women “Image of Success” seminar at the McAllen Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Jordan will discuss the importance of incorporating healthy living into a working woman’s busy schedule and developing a diet and exercise plan for long-term success.
Dr. Jordan is a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, San Antonio TX and completed her graduate training at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio/McAllen Residency Program. She was the owner and CEO of Family Medicine Physicians from 2003 – 2012 and the owner and president of BodyScripts Medical Weight Loss Center in McAllen from 2001-2012. She is presently a bariatrician with the Renaissance Bariatric and Metabolic Institute and is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
The seminar will also discuss how employees can project a positive attitude, build confidence, basics in communicating effectively, improving professional relationships with a company or organization’s customers, better understanding of personality styles, and creating an appearance that accurately projects a company’s image.
The seminar will include a professional dress and acceptable “casual Friday-wear” style show and luncheon. Businesses and professional organizations are encouraged to send their customer service representatives, sales associates, administrative assistants, receptionists, secretaries, wait staff, medical assistants, and anyone in the company or organization responsible for making a great first impression with customers.
The seminar will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with registration at 8:00 a.m. at the McAllen Chamber of Commerce, 1200 Ash Ave. Cost to attend the seminar is only $25.00 each for Chamber members and $35.00 for non-members, which includes the luncheon and style show. Since seating will be limited, timely registration is encouraged. “Image of Success” is presented by Women’s Hospital at Renaissance.
