From juggling the numerous demands related to raising children and managing all the daily routines associated with it to navigating the complexities of a child’s development and well-being, the journey is often filled with equal parts joy and frustration, and striking a healthy balance can be a never-ending struggle.
To help parents navigate the challenges, South Texas Health System Behavioral will host a special parenting conference on Thursday, August 21. Entitled “Raising Resilient Children Parenting Conference,” the event is designed to empower parents and caregivers with practical tools for today’s challenges.
This conference is about more than just parenting; it’s about building emotionally resilient families from the inside out, with each session is designed to give parents practical skills they can apply immediately to foster stronger connections and healthier homes.
The free, dynamic event will feature sessions, each offering a unique area of support, including:
- Positive discipline, communication & strengthening parenting techniques
- Defusing the Fuse: Mastering Verbal De-Escalation
- Coping skills for parents to manage stress and build resilience
- Self-care strategies aimed at preventing parental burnout
