What motivated you to start this business?
We got married in Chicago back in 2015 and we knew we needed a coffee caterer to serve the drinks we love to the people we love!
After hearing our guest’s amazing reaction to the coffee, a dream was born in our hearts to start a coffee catering company someday. While on a trip to our new home city of McAllen, we felt God had spoken softly to our hearts that it was “time” for this dream to become a reality. That’s where Kairos Coffee Catering got it’s name! Kairos is Greek for “the timing of God” or the “appointed time” and God has shown us that this was indeed the time to launch our dream business.
What is the history of your business?
After officially launching Kairos Coffee Catering five and a half years ago, our business steadily grew from one cart to five carts!
We now have a branch in Corpus Christi, so we can serve at even more events throughout south Texas. We are so blessed to be growing so quickly and steadily! And we have an amazing, dedicated crew of baristas who love to serve at all types of events, like weddings, quinceaneras, birthdays, showers, grand openings, staff appreciation, and more. We love the months of October through December, as we bring coffee for dozens of brides and grooms. The month of May is our busiest time with Teacher Appreciation and Nurses Appreciation. This May, we had 86 events scheduled – our busiest yet!
What product/special services do you offer?
We bring our full service coffee shop to you! We specialize in making every event customized and easy for our customers. Everything starts with our five main coffee drinks: cappuccinos, lattes with flavor options, mochas, americanos, and hot chocolate. We offer package bundles and tons of different add-ons, like teas & chai, iced drinks, custom stamped cups, multiple cart service, and our exclusive cart design. Our goal is to bless each and every customer, and make their guests happy, too!
What makes your business product/service standout from the rest?
We think three things make us stand out from the rest. One is our passion for coffee. We love coffee, and nothing makes us happier than serving others delicious hot and iced coffee drinks! Two: our expertise in the business. We have been in business for a while now, run five carts and have served at almost 2000 events. Our customers know and trust that we will provide exactly what they want and need. Three: our customer service is caring and detailed, letting our customers relax and enjoy their coffee service!
As a small business owner, what does business means to you?
Our business is our opportunity to give glory to God! To have the opportunity to serve and bless others during their most important life events is an honor. We take this very seriously, and our goal is to be the easiest vendor they have!
Are you involved in any initiatives that give back to the community? If so, please elaborate.
A number of times per year, we provide free coffee service for various organizations. A percentage of our proceeds goes towards an orphanage in Mexico. We love to give back to our community.
