What motivated you to start this business?
In 2004, our love for coffee began when we purchased our first espresso machine for home use. Michelle, an engineer immersed in Corporate America, experienced the diverse coffee cultures around the world. Inspired by freshly roasted coffee, we started roasting our own batches in our garage and sold them at local events. Encouraged by our customers, we gained the confidence to open our first coffee shop, bringing the craft of specialty coffee to the RGV community.
What is the history of your business?
Our story traces back to 2016 when we acquired our inaugural coffee roaster. The following year, in 2017, we proudly inaugurated our first café, nestled in the vibrant vicinity of the McAllen Convention Center. As we set our sights on expansion, preparations were underway for our second location within the esteemed UTRGV School of Medicine.
Unfortunately, the onset of the COVID pandemic necessitated a pause in our plans. However, as the world gradually recovered, we seized the opportunity to bring our vision to life once more. In the wake of the pandemic’s conclusion, we proudly unveiled our third and fourth locations, strategically situated on 10th street and McColl Road, respectively.
What product/special services do you offer?
At the heart of our business is our expertise in the craft of artisan coffee roasting. We take pride in the transformative process of turning raw, unroasted coffee beans into exquisite and captivating flavors. With our four coffee shops, we cater to the discerning coffee lovers in the vibrant communities of McAllen and Edinburg.
In addition to our coffee shops, we extend our reach through wholesale coffee services, supplying cafes, restaurants, and coffee carts throughout the RGV. Our commitment to excellence extends beyond the beans themselves—we also assist cafes in enhancing their coffee programs by offering a range of coffee equipment and providing expert machine servicing.

As a small business owner in our vibrant RGV community, fostering relationships and building a sense of community is at the core of everything we do. We pride ourselves on deeply connecting with our valued customers, trusted suppliers, dedicated employees, and fellow entrepreneurs who share our passion for the RGV.
Are you involved in any initiatives that give back to the community? If so, please elaborate.
We are proud to support the United Way of South Texas, knowing that our donations directly benefits Hidalgo and Starr Counties. Through their extensive network, United Way funds over 100 programs facilitated by 22 partner agencies and various community impact grant recipients. These programs encompass a wide range of critical services, including youth empowerment initiatives, employment placement for individuals with disabilities, elderly assistance, transportation support, emergency shelter provisions, CPR training, and much more.
