The journey of an entrepreneur can be challenging, especially when navigating the complex world of business startups. On a monthly basis, the McAllen Chamber of Commerce hosts One Million Cups.
Every second Wednesday of the month, entrepreneurs gather over a cup of coffee (or two) to present their business ideas and projects in a friendly, welcoming environment. Each presenter has six minutes to captivate the audience with their vision, challenges, and achievements, followed by a brief Q&A session. Founded by the Kauffman Foundation, 1MC is based on the notion that entrepreneur’s network and discover solutions over a million cups of coffee.
Join us this Wednesday June 14 from 9-10 a.m. where you will learn about The Nordic Technology Companies, Swedish technology that turns organic waste into usable compost in 24 hours and Longeveden, a company that formulates, produces and sells different brands of dietary supplements, personal care and cosmetics.

- Engaging Community Support: One Million Cups program fosters a strong sense of community support for local entrepreneurs. Through regular meetups, entrepreneurs can showcase their business, share stories, and receive constructive feedback.
- Networking & Collaboration: by attending the event, entrepreneurs gain access to a network of like-minded individuals, mentors, potential customers and investors. This program facilitates the exchange of ideas, expertise and resources which can lead to partnerships.
- Practice & Refinement: Presenting at 1MC provides entrepreneurs with a platform to practice their pitch, hone their public speaking skills and gain confidence in presenting their ideas to a group of people.
- Access to Resources: The 1MC community often consists of individuals and organizations that can provide resources and support to entrepreneurs. This may include access to funding opportunities, mentorship programs, incubators or accelerators, business development resources and more.
