The consecutively sold-out Good Day McAllen brought an eager Chamber membership together Thursday afternoon at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel.
Masters of Ceremony were Rick Guerra & John Kreidler who introduced new chamber members, awarded door prizes and entertained the crowd. Good Day McAllen was sponsored by South Texas Health System.
STHS Heart CEO Brenda Ivory provided a brief presentation about hospital services. STHS Heart is one of the first freestanding cardiology and cardiovascular hospitals built in the United States and is dedicated solely to heart-related medical needs for patients.
Throughout the program, a special mention was given to Bill Stocker from Palace Cleaners who closed his doors after nearly 100 years in business. A second mention was also given to Kreidler whose family business Kreidler Funeral Home celebrated 111 years of service.
The quarterly luncheon delivers a networking experience as well as community engagement. The mission of Good Day McAllen is to foster meaningful connections and promote collaborations. The event has become a staple event in the local business calendar.
McAllen Chamber President & CEO Josh Mejia listed upcoming organization events including Link Up, One Million Cups, She Blooms, CEO Roundtable, Speaker Series, and a legislative luncheon with Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz.
Mejia also presented the crowd with a recap video of this year’s Taste McAllen food festival that brought over 600 foodies to the McAllen Convention Center. More than 24 local vendors including local chefs, top rated food trucks, independent and chain restaurants unique to our region offered sample dishes.
