The McAllen Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the Texas Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences has selected McAllen as its host city for the 2025 TEAFCS State Conference.
The July 2025 conference is expected to draw over 350 visitors to the McAllen Convention Center that could generate an economic impact of over $105,000.
“We are all looking forward to bringing fellow County Extension Family & Community Health agents throughout the state to McAllen,” said County Administrator Dr. Andrea Valdez.
Throughout the year, the McAllen Chamber’s Tourism Department ‘Convention & Visitors Bureau’ diligently facilitates conferences that attract participants from various industries. These conferences play a significant role in generating substantial revenue for our city.
TEAFCS educates and recognizes extension professionals who improve the quality of life for individuals, families and communities. They provide education in food preparation, safety/nutrition, financial management, healthy lifestyles, home and work environment, relationships, parenting skills and more.
“We eagerly anticipate welcoming agents from all corners of Texas to our captivating city for this great conference,” Convention Sales Manager Maritza Muñoz said.
