What motivated you to start this business?
Around the 90’s my father was listening to a radio program where they talked about how to take care of your health. This motivated me to study nutrition and healthy cooking. From that moment on, the idea of starting a business where I could sell natural, healthy, and delicious products, as well as provide teaching classes, began. I opened “Naturalisssimo” restaurant now called “Mi tierra Vegana.” I have completed various certifications to become a nutritionist and vegan chef.
What is the history of your business?
My business story began over a decade ago inside of a health food store where I started offering daily special vegetarian meals. Gradually, I started adding more items while improving the flavor of the food I was serving. I sincerely believe healthy food will heal bodies, minds, souls, and ultimately the planet.
Next, we purchased a food tuck and became completely plant based. We became the first vegan food truck in the Rio Grande Valley! About three years ago, we opened our own brick and motar restaurant located in North McAllen. Our front door includes out motto: “Fresh food, simple ingredients, created with passion to inspire body, mind & soul”.

Mi Tierra Vegana is a vegan restaurant where we produce all our products. Our specialty is vegan Mexican food.

We are the first vegan restaurant in the Rio Grande Valley.
