The summit will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday July 28th at the McAllen Convention Center and aims to bring together a distinguished collective of exceptional individuals, including international entrepreneurs, bank presidents and elected officials.

The International Economic Summit will feature a variety of engaging sessions designed to provide participants with comprehensive perspectives on economic development and prosperity.
An International Panel, titled ‘Prosperity, Progress, and Economic Development the Latino Way.’ This candid discussion will feature Palenque Group CEO Francisco Ochoa Jr, CiL Logistics CEO Joaquin Spamer and Gorditas Doña Lula CEO Maragarita De Leon. They will delve into the world of entrepreneurship, sharing their experiences and insights.
A Bank President’s Panel will also be featured where leaders from prominent institutions like Lone Star National Bank, International Bank of Commerce, Plains Capital Bank and Texas Regional Bank will convene. They will discuss the crucial topic of economic connectivity between the Mexican and U.S. markets, providing valuable perspectives on international finance and trade. This panel will be moderated by Radio United News Talk Show Host Sergio Sanchez.
The event’s Keynote Speaker is Senior Advisor of the Mexico Institute at the Wilson Center Duncan Wood., Ph.D. He is an internationally renowned specialist on supply chain policy, the geopolitics of critical minerals, Mexican politics and US-Mexican ties. He regularly gives testimony to the US Congress, is a widely quoted media source, and has published extensively on a wide range of global issues.
Those in attendance will have the opportunity to participate in two informative breakout sessions. The Greater McAllen Association of Realtors will present the “State of the Rio Grande Valley Real Estate Market,” providing valuable knowledge on the region’s real estate trends. Meanwhile, International Medical Staffing will address the pressing issue of labor shortages through their session titled “Addressing Labor Shortages Through International Partnerships.” These breakout sessions are designed to deliver practical takeaways and actionable strategies to address industry-specific challenges.
